Here is our travel bucket list for 2019:
Venice is a city in northeastern Italy and the capital of the Veneto region. It is situated on a group of 118 small islands that are separated by canals and linked by over 400 bridges. The islands are located in the shallow Venetian Lagoon, an enclosed bay that lies between the mouths of the Po and the Piave rivers.
Fun Fact: There are 350 gondolas and 400 gondoliers in the city of Venice.
Tokyo, officially Tokyo Metropolis, is one of the 47 prefectures of Japan. It has served as the Japanese capital since 1869, its urban area housing the Emperor of Japan and the Japanese government. Tokyo forms part of the Kantō region on the southeastern side of Japan's main island, Honshu, and includes the Izu Islands and Ogasawara Islands. Tokyo was formerly named Edo when Shōgun Tokugawa Ieyasu made the city his headquarters in 1603.
Fun Fact: On the whole Japanese people don’t speak many other languages and whilst Tokyo is a very large city, English is not widely spoken
Phuket is one of the southern provinces of Thailand. It consists of the island of Phuket, the country's largest island, and another 32 smaller islands off its coast. It lies off the west coast of Thailand in the Andaman Sea. Phuket Island is connected by the Sarasin Bridge to Phang Nga Province to the north.
Fun Fact: Snorkelers and scuba divers flock to the coral of Similan and Phi Phi Islands south of Phuket.
The Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) is a ski resort in the western United States, at Teton Village, Wyoming. In the Teton Range of the Rocky Mountains, it is located in Teton County, 12 miles northwest of Jackson and due south of Grand Teton National Park. It is named after the historically significant Jackson Hole valley and is known for its steep terrain and a large continuous vertical drop of 4,139 ft. JHMR appears frequently in the media as one of North America's most expensive ski resorts.
Fun Fact: Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has the longest continuous vertical rise of any ski area in the U.S., rising 4,139 feet from the valley floor to the top of Rendezvous Mountain.
Norwegian Lapland is home to some amazing activities both on land and the fjords around the coast. Whether dog sledding in Norway, joining a Northern Lights tour in Norway, or even Whale Watching in Norway – the rugged wilderness, combined with the picturesque countryside is a true hit.
Fun Fact: In the summer, the sun sometimes never sets. For 73 days each year, the sun is visible around the clock.
